Venus Transit

The large yellow circle is the sun and the small dark dot at 4 o'clock is Venus.

    Here's some pictures Melanie and I took today showing the Venus transit projected through binoculars onto some white paper. It was mostly cloudy here and I was skeptical that we would be able to see the transit. Luckily we were presented with a couple of opportunities to try to view the event before the sun went down.
    I made a hammock last week and will make another starting this weekend.
    I came across a neat blog at http://ofps.oreilly.com/. It's written for software programmers but is applicable to many disciplines and professions.
